The submission follows previous meetings with her Chief of Staff and comes as the constitutional threshold for ERA ratification has already been met.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are not asking for more words\u2014we are asking for action,\u201d said Katrina\u2019s Dream in the letter. \u201cSenator Murkowski herself has rightly called the ERA \u2018far, far overdue\u2019 and stated that \u2018there should be no time limit on equality\u2019 and \u2018it is far past time for Congress to act.\u2019 That record now requires concrete leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The letter specifically requests that Senator Murkowski:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Issue a bipartisan \u201cDear Colleague\u201d letter affirming support for the ERA and SJ Res 38, calling on members of both chambers to advance final recognition.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct direct outreach to at least five colleagues in the Senate and House to build the necessary coalition this session.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Katrina\u2019s Dream is also requesting a brief virtual meeting with Senator Murkowski to align on next steps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Call to Action<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Americans are urged to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sign the petition today: https:\/\/c.org\/msG9k8Xrqm<\/li>\n<li>Contact Senator Murkowski and demand she lead on SJ Res 38 and advance the ERA without further delay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Support for congressional action on the ERA is strong and well-documented, including through former Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney\u2019s nationwide efforts.
