The ministries for the 21st Church

Our mission is the Full Inclusion of Women in the Church and in Society and other Social Justice Issues. Over the years we have blossomed into an international organization working with: a multitude of faith communities, advocates and activists, and their networks, as well as agencies, non-governmental organizations, and governments.

  • Bubble of Love: On August 26, 2025, Katrina’s Dream celebrates 20 years of advocating for peace, justice, and equality—a vision born in the wake of Hurricane Katrina as my family and I gathered to honor my late mother-in-law, Katrina. From that moment of loss and hope, Katrina’s Dream emerged as a global movement, amplified by our Power of One ERA Program and now, our newest initiative: the Bubble of Love Program, launching on Yom Kippur 2025.

  • Dreamscape: This blog serves as a platform for exploring liberty and justice globally, inspired by the vision of Rev. Katrina Swanson. It features contributions from bishops, clergy, laity, and both believers and non-believers, fostering dialogue on social justice and faith.

  • Olof’s Brothers Love Feast While researching his book 10 Blessings for the Church, George Swanson discovered the Ecclesia Common Cathedral program in Boston, which William encountered while staying at Rev. Kathryn Piccard’s home during his studies at Episcopal Divinity School. Inspired by the service and George’s 2010 vision for a similar gathering, William and Helene, drawing on their extensive experience working with the homeless, created Olof’s Brothers’ Love Feast.  Olof’s Brother is now in fledgingly stage in NYC.
  • Pass the ERA: A grassroots movement and educational program dedicated to advocating for the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to ensure legal equality for all Americans. It engages communities to promote gender equality under the law, continuing Katrina’s legacy of justice.

  • Perfect Union  Helene de Boissiere is converting her experiences as an Amazon warehouse high tech blue color workers address safety and health issues in the evolving world of AI, hostile work environment, where profits are put before human life.

  • Ponderings, Poems, anconertind Publications: This section publishes articles, scholarly papers, and poetry dedicated to Rev. Katrina Swanson and like-minded advocates, celebrating dreams of equality and the global impact of women’s voices in social justice.

  • Power of One: A grassroots initiative encouraging one-on-one conversations to urge U.S. Congress to pass the ERA, complemented by The Call a global conference call program empowering women to address intersectional social justice issues through inclusive dialogue.

  • Programs – Over the Years  The past ministries of Katrina’s Dream reflect a commitment to social justice, environmental stewardship, and inclusive community inspired by her legacy. These ministries, rooted in Katrina’s pioneering spirit, blend theology, environmental action, and advocacy for the marginalized, continuing to inspire global impact.

  • Widows’ Walk: Conceived by Tammy Simkins of ERA Action in memory of her husband Tom Simkins, this emerging program invites support through prayers and participation to promote the ERA and honor personal loss through advocacy for equality.
